"Fairy Sea Queen" - Original Watercolor

The "Fairy Sea Queen" is a  Leafy Sea Dragon and takes it's inspiration from my love of the ocean and marine life.  I use my original photographs as reference photo's for this work.   The challenge to paint an underwater creature is always an enjoyable one for me.  These Sea Dragons are found off the coast of Australia and their numbers are dwindling and nearing the endangered species list. Creating an awareness of their beauty through art is another way to bring an awareness to their plight.

This original 20 x 14 watercolor painting is being sold on a 24 x 18 backing board with a single white (archival) matt and sealed in an acid free clear bag.  It will fit a standard 18 x 24 frame, although I love to use a good custom framer to make the artwork stand out.

Limited Edition prints are available through our shop on Etsy:  KatMarxArtLLC

Below are some staged photographs to show how the art might look framed.
